Hi everyone! My name is Dhairya Mathur. I am a Rising Junior at West Windsor-Plainsboro High School South. I am a science enthusiast and hope to be a medical professional in the future.

I enjoy participating in science competitions. I was a semifinalist in USABO and scored Honorable Mention (top 100)  in USABO semifinal exam 2024. I have also scored 4th place in International biology bowl (IBB) in 2024.  I am passionate about science competitions and have been a captain of Science Olympiad , Waksman and Science Bowl teams.  I achieved 9th place nationally for Anatomy and physiology event in middle school in Science Olympiad.  As part of the Science Olympiad and Science Bowl teams since last four years I have participated in many regional competitions including Cornell, MIT, Princeton, UPenn and have been awarded in all events.

I am currently enrolled in the prestigious Columbia University Science Honors Program (SHP), with a focus on Organic Chemistry and Biotechnology. It is a highly prestigious and competitive program designed for high school students and is renowned for its rigorous curriculum and provides an exceptional platform for advanced scientific study and research

As part of the Rutgers University Waksman Student Scholars Program I have focused on the DNA sequence analysis of genes from the duckweed plant Landoltia punctata and published the research paper https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/nuccore/2582759132

I am also International Biology Bowl (IBB) Advance Content Writer for developing and writing challenging and high-quality questions for the International Biology Bowl

I have also globally co-founded and coordinated a science and health education program for children with autism (aspireautism.org), designing sensory-friendly curriculum, organizing weekly classes, and raising community awareness and funds

I have initiated and led the Global Scholar Research Program (GSRP) , inspiring young school children around the world to write research papers in the field of STEM by providing mentorship, resources, and guidance

I am a BLS CPR Certified by the American Heart Association (AHA) and Volunteer at the Capitol Health Hospital and South Brunswick Adult Day Care Center with 100+ hours.

Outside of academics, I am active member of the school wind ensemble proficiently playing flute and piccolo since 5th grade. I have demonstrated musical talent and dedication through participation in various orchestras and bands outside of school. I hold the position of First Chair Piccolo in the Wind Ensemble at my school.
